Catarina Abreu

My name is Catarina Abreu.  I am a sophomore and resident here at BSC and my major is Math, with a minor in Physics.  Class of 2012!  My goal is to work as a teacher or work in a company such as State Street Corporation. I was born in 1989 in Cape Verde, a group of islands on the West Coast of Africa.  I have been in USA for four and a half years.  I live in Boston, MA. I like be with people that care about me - friends, family, etc...  I love to dance, play sports, and have fun.  I am a smart young lady, hard working, funny, shy, respectful and more.  My inspiration is my single mom, who raised and supported me.  I enjoy being involved in different activities; I am an L.I.N.K.S mentor, a member of CVSA (planning on being a president), and I participate in other activities.  Last, but not least, I really, really love working with such great, intelligent and wonderful people such as Mrs. Garr-Barnes and Keileen Hopps, here at CMA office. 

 

Jerrica Alvarado

My, name is Jerrica Alvarado. I was born and raised in Boston.  I am Hispanic (Cuban and Puerto Rican) and am the first in my generation to attend college.  I am 19 years old and I am a sophomore at BSC.  My major is Criminal Justice - Class of 2012!  I love to sing dance and have fun with friends. I take my work seriously and I am very outspoken and funny.  I love to meet new people and later on in the future I want to travel all around the world. My best friends are my mother and father, who are two very supportive and important people in my life. I am a mentor in the L.I.N.K.S. Program, as well as a member of La Sociedad Latina.

 

Valentina Arecy

Hi, my name is Valentina Arecy and I am currently a freshman here at BSC - Class of 2013.  For most of my life I have lived in Boston, MA.  For now I am majoring in Business Management.  I am 18 years old and I am living the life that I love.  I am smart, respectful, shy, and silly at times, and love to have fun.  I love to travel, to dance, and to eat.  So far I am enjoying my experience here at Bridgewater State College and looking forward to a successful college experience.

 

Brenda Arruda

My name is Brenda Arruda, and I'm from Fall River, MA.  I am a junior here at Bridgewater State College and so far I really enjoy it here.  I actually live on campus in the East Hall.  I am eighteen years old.  At the moment, I do not have a major, but I am leaning towards becoming a Communications major.  Presently, I still have no idea of what I want to become when I grow up.  However, I am keeping my options open.

 

Marize Gomes

Hi, my name is Marize Gomes.  I'm from Jamaica Plain, Boston.  I have been in America for seven years.  I'm originally from Cape Verde.  I am a sophomore already at BSC!  My college experience has been phenomenal from my freshman year to my sophomore year.  I am thankful to all who helped me through my freshman year, it was extraordinary.  As of now, I want to major in Accounting and Finance, with a minor in law, but I'm still not sure yet.  One of the hardest things about college is deciding what you want to do for the rest of your life.  I am an outstanding young women who's clever, enthusiastic, studious, funny, athletic, persistent, adventurous; the list goes on! My family is my inspiration and my guardians.  They empowered me to see what I can do and to explore what the world has to offer me.

 

Eileen Lara

Hi my name is Eileen Lara.  I am an 19 year-old Gemini currently attending Bridgewater State College as a sophomore majoring in Business Management and Spanish.  I was raised in Boston, but born in the Dominican Republic.  I am a very outgoing, nice, independent, truthful, and open-minded person who loves to be around people; people rarely find me in a bad mood due to the fact that I love to laugh and smile.  Because of my personality I find myself trying to get involved in many things such as La Sociedad Latina, the L.I.N.K.S. program, CPDC, community service events, and hopefully more along the way.

 

Dinach Masse

My name Dinacheley Masse and most people call me Dinach.   I was born and Haiti but I would say I’ve been raised in the USA.  I have been here for 13 years now.  I’m currently a freshmen and the whole college thing is weird to me.  As of right now I’m undecided but I plan to major in Athletic Training and hopefully pursue physical therapy.  I take school very seriously but I love to have a good time.  I consider myself funny, athletic, outgoing, energetic, and hardworking.  My inspiration is my mother, because we’ve been through a lot and we made it.  Hopefully my time at BSC will be fun and working in the CMA will be as well. 

 

Kevin McLean

Hello, my name is Kevin McLean.  I am a senior and I am majoring in Information Systems Management, with a minor in Finance.  This is my fifth year at BSC and I am a resident student.  I was born and raised in Dorchester and I graduated from Boston Latin Academy and I was enrolled in the METCO program from K-8th grade in Weston.  In my spare time, I like to produce music, which I have been doing for the past eight years.

 

Melanie Nunez

My name is Melanie Nunez. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I am 19 years old. I'm a Criminal Justice major, with an Accounting and Finance minor. I will be graduating in the year of 2013 with my bachelors and masters degree. My dream is to be a successful FBI Agent and maybe later on, be part of Interpol. I am a very outgoing, funny and self-motivated person. I love the city, to get things on my own, to dance and make new friends. I am part of the LINKS Program, Sister Scholars and La Sociedad Latina.
