The Research Subcommittee has three main responsibilities: 1) improve the College's ability to identify students who are members of historically underserved populations. Bridgewater has identified these populations as students of color, first-generation students, and low-income students for the purpose of the Project Compass grant. 2) improve the College's ability to monitor academic performance, retention, satisfaction, and graduation among the underserved populations. 3) through the above data collection, recommend intervention strategies to the COP. Finally, the Research Subcommittee is also charged with documenting Project Compass program proposed strategies and achievements.
